As many of you know, I am selling my Brooklyn, NY apartment and leaving NYC. ??
(If you know anyone who is interested in a beautiful home, please let me know!)
This is a HUGE change for me, as I’ve lived in Brooklyn for over 15 years, and in New York City for nearly 20 years.
My community of friends and professional relationships in New York are beyond amazing, and living here has been deeply supportive for me in many ways.
However, it became clear at the end of last year that it was really time to make this shift.
This is a deeply intuitive decision–in part a “risk” that may not make the most logical sense.
But I feel this decision as something I must do–a calling from my highest self.
It’s my choice to tune into my intuition–that feminine operating system that *everyone* has.
And then to surrender, trust, and let the universe take care of the rest.
This surrender and trust was really put into play during my last trip to Asia, where I left the U.S. and only had plans housing for the first 10 days of my 5-week trip.
Things fell into place beautifully, in ways that I could not have imagined. (You can read more about that in an old blog post here.)
Of course, I was researching things to do and where to stay for my trip with good intentions, but I also trusted that things would fall into place and didn’t let fear drive my decision-making.
Within the first week of the trip, the universe sent in some amazing beings who planned my entire trip to the Philippines, and I hardly had to lift a finger.
With this home move, I am also making plans, researching things daily, and gauging with the most gentle tension when to dive in and make the plans concrete and when to just sit back and listen to how things want to unfold.
This is a dance. (Here we are with my favorite metaphor again, and I can’t say it enough!)
Learning how to dance well is learning how to live well.
Too much tension in that turn → no way José. Not enough tension → no shape and form. That spin ain’t going nowhere! ????????
(pantyhose anyone?)
Part of this dance is acknowledging that…
The universe/God/Spirit has much better and bigger plans for us than our limited minds can imagine.
We can, and oftentimes must, put in some effort and planning, and then we need to just sit back and let the universe do the rest of the work.
Most importantly, YOU don’t have to do ALL the work.
Call in the support and let it move through you!
This is often where the work is… opening up your internal channels to allow for deep movement. (I could write a dissertation on that one, but I’ll let it sit with you for now.)
In the heat of this summer, which is a great time for maximum expansion, I’m going to lead a 4 week course on Creating Big Life Change, so please keep your eyes peeled for that and let me know if you want to be sent a special invite once the course is up!
In the meantime, you might want to tune into your body and feel if big change is something you want and are ready to step into.
Feel free to post, discuss, and ask questions below.
And…
Please share this with someone who might benefit from hearing these words.
Book a session ASAP if you want one of my remaining in-person Brooklyn times!! ?
Make sure you’re signed up for my newsletter to not miss the updates as they come.
Sending BIG Love!
Michelle
P.S. I so plan to be back in NYC! With all the traveling that I’ve been doing, it may not even seem like I’ve left. 😉
